More than neighbors. A village of cottages, connection, and purpose.

Sunnyside Village is not just another housing development. It’s a community being built from the ground up around a unique idea: life is better when we share it. Here, you’ll have your own private cottage surrounded by orchards, gardens, and trails for walking, hiking, and cycling—and a village of people to share meals, adventures, and everyday life with.

We’re creating a place that feels both timeless and forward-looking: simple, human-scale homes and a lifestyle rooted in connection, sustainability, and belonging.

They include an elderly man with glasses and a beige cap, a woman with long hair wearing sunglasses on her head, a man with a beard and a black cap holding a sleeping baby, and a baby in the man's lap. Behind them are green plants and a red wooden fence.

Who We Are

We are an intergenerational community in Marysville, WA, just 35 miles north of Seattle. Together we are building 32 individually owned cottages on five acres of land, with shared gardens, orchards, and gathering spaces. Our design encourages both privacy and connection: Your home is your own, but community is always right outside your door.

What We Value

CONNECTION THAT LASTS

At Sunnyside, neighbors are more than acquaintances. We garden together, paddle together, and support each other. Connection is part of daily life.

AUTONOMY & BELONGING

Every resident has their own cottage and privacy, but with built-in opportunities to share meals, activities, celebrations, and purpose.

SUSTAINABILITY MADE SIMPLE

Shared gardens, energy-conscious design, and intentional planning mean living lightly on the planet without extra cost or effort.

INCLUSION & DIVERSITY

We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs. Everyone deserves a safe, supportive community where they can thrive.

What Makes Sunnyside Unique

Two women with gray hair and wearing blue life jackets are launching a green canoe into a calm river. One woman is sitting inside the canoe, and the other is standing on the shore helping to push it into the water. The background shows trees with autumn-colored leaves.

The Cottage Village Life:
