Costs & Co-Buying
Our homes range from mid $700,000 to high $800,000
Your pricing will depend on the floor plan you choose. The options are:
1-story, 2-bedroom, 1-bath
2-story, 2-bedroom, 1-bath
2-story, 3-bedroom, 1-bath
Pricing includes your lot, home construction, your share of the Common House and shared amenities, and site infrastructure. These are development costs, not market-driven pricing.
In other words, you are only paying for what it costs to create the homes and our community. We are not making a profit off of this because the profit is the community we build together.
Want to make buying more affordable? Consider co-buying:
If the full price feels like a stretch on your own, co-buying is one way to make it work. It's exactly what it sounds like: you and another person share the cost of a cottage and the legal ownership of the property.
Your co-buyer doesn't have to live with you. It could be a friend, a family member, someone looking to invest in real estate, or someone you meet through the cohousing process. The point is to split the financial weight so you can be part of Sunnyside.
Meet two of our co-buyers: Norm and John
Norm and John are co-buying their cottage at Sunnyside Village. When Norm asked John why co-buying felt like the right choice for them, John didn’t miss a beat. He laughed and said “We’re two old men watching out for each other.”
