Paula and Hugh moved from Virginia to Oregon over twenty years ago. After raising their family in a traditional neighborhood, they decided to explore cohousing for their next chapter in life. Hugh is an electrical engineer, and Paula is a clinical psychologist. They have two adult children who they hope will be frequent visitors to Sunnyside!

Both love spending time outdoors—cycling, hiking, Nordic skiing, camping, backpacking, gardening, and birdwatching, as well as relaxing with a good book on the front porch. Their indoor interests include watching soccer, playing board games, reading, baking, and cooking recipes from around the world. Paula also enjoys knitting, while Hugh enjoys woodworking. They look forward to building connections, sharing resources, and enjoying community life with their Sunnyside neighbors.
